In ancient time SAN SEVERO was called “Castrum Dionis” according to the legend that DIOMEDE, having married Driona, king Dauno’s daughter, had a small temple built on a hill called DRION. In that place, San Severo was built.
The must, after a long contact with the skins, is kept in oak barrels already used, for about six months, after is aged in bottle for 3 months.
Fine ruby red with light garnet reflections. Full and spicy with notes of ripe fruit and pepper. Soft and velvety with balanced tannis.
